CWC Automatic Divers Watch Mk.2 Black (SF300 AS120)

Item code: 73129

THE MECHANICAL CHOICE

The Special Forces Diver with Swiss automatic movement.

Produced by CWC since the late 1990s, the SF300 Automatic combines the proven design of the Special Forces Diver with the character of a Swiss automatic movement, presented in CWC's distinctive black case.

Some watches demand attention.

This one earns respect quietly.

Built around the same black case family developed for the CWC SBS Diver, the SF300 Automatic was re-engineered internally to accommodate a Swiss automatic movement while preserving the proportions, durability and military character of the original design.

Externally, it remains unmistakably CWC. The discreet PVD black finish, fixed strap bars, screw-down crown and 300-metre water resistance create a robust mechanical diver that is equally suited to everyday wear and more demanding environments.

Early production models featured tritium (T) dial markings before transitioning to Super-LumiNova as luminous technology evolved. Today, the SF300 Automatic is powered by the Swiss-made Sellita SW200-1 Top Grade automatic movement, chosen for its proven reliability, accuracy and long-term serviceability.

The SF300 Automatic later formed the foundation of the limited-edition Mutineer. While the Mutineer introduced a date display and collaboration-specific details, it retained the proven automatic platform first established by the SF300 Automatic.

Purpose without compromise.

Once a Star, Always a Star

I bought an SBS, (civilian version), in 2006, after I spent some time sharing a hotel with the Royal Marines in Sarajevo, Bosnia in the mid-late 90's. As sort of a US counterpart, we worked closely on some operations, and I got to play around with those watches. Although many of us wore those high-dollar so-called icons at the time, it seemed rational to switch out those famous super-brands for a more common sense item, and CWC seemed to fill the void in good order.
I think that first SBS I bought was around $700 back then. Anyway, fast forward to today; with the SBS retired after a nearly two decades of beating around the world and showing the scars, it was time for a new one. I like the black SBS, but had a bad experience of that battery failing when I least expected it, so I went for the Auto-Diver this time; I don't really required a day/date anyway. The new Diver has already been to the Great Smoky Mountains and dove the depths of Lake Hartwell in Georgia. SITREP: Everything is back to normal. Carry On.... Save that Rolex for a hot date!!!

Excellent!

I have the older ETA movement based version made in 2017 which is essentially the same as the current SW200 version. Mine has been around the world and been magnetised and demagnetised many times thanks to airport security scanners (takes 10s to demag), was worn for several years in the tropics, has been through freezing continental winters, has survived ragamuffins trying to snatch it from my wrist, been swimming many times in swimming pools/rivers/sea and it still runs at -2s/day if worn 24hrs or -1s/day if I take it off at night.
Pretty impressive and the Monnin case is an absolute classic.

Black!

The “perfect” rough and ready watch for all adventures. No reason to worry, or think twice … just strap it on go! I also love the automatic version, no battery life issues (ever). Lastly, buy it now before it’s out of stock!

Excellent in value and accuracy

Having CWC AUTOMATIC DIVERS WATCH MK.2 BLACK (SF300 AS120) for several weeks, this is my daily beater. It’s running extremely accurate -1sec weekly. Great value and accurate compared with my other luxury brands collection ( Breitling, Tudor, Omega & Rolex). Highly recommended. I’m looking forward for my next CWC’s collection in near future.
