Royal Marines Falklands Era Strap, Green

Item code: 73035

Genuine new old stock vintage RM Falkland era straps, these were part of Royal Marines kit issued with their bergen rucksack as a utility strap for many different uses.

Makers' name and patent stamped underside of buckle. Either dated 81, 82 or 83 (select an option). Please note the '83 strap will be a light olive colour as the original green strap is too thick to adjust easily.

Being 19/20mm with a quick-adjust very secure buckle, they make the perfect military watch strap. They are micro adjustable and the buckle will not slip. They are so tough and durable they are unlikely to wear out and the larger Aerolex buckles were used on SAS rucksacks and heavy lifting equipment harnesses.

(WATCH NOT INCLUDED)

How to fit and use this strap

19-20mm will fit General Service and divers' watches. Quick pull adjustment ensures exact fit and is easy to get on and off. Extra long 350mm length, which will fit over divers' dry suits or combat gear where the standard watch strap is too short to do this.

The buckle stays threaded for ease of use, just slide it on and off. Just pull, giving resistance against the body, to tighten. One loop keeper fitted to retain excess strap.

Made in the UK when British kit was overconstructed.

Please note, if you would like the Broad Arrow stamp on your strap, please select the add-on option above. Default is without stamp. For stamping on multiple straps, please change the stamp quantity in your basket and leave a message indicating which straps you want stamped. For any other special instructions, please leave a message with your order.

Hi guys, i did have an original issues which was fine so I assume this one will also be fine. May be a few weeks before I receive it as I live in Mozambique and will not call it forward from mail delivery company for a few weeks yet

good practical bit of kit

Excellent - as expected.. Good bit of webbing. Works. Practical. Also, yes, looks good. The dated strap lever adds something extra for my own private appreciation. Thanx CWC. No probs and see you again.

Excellent strap; highly recommended

I ordered the strap m, along with a broad arrow stamp, and it was delivered in just 2 days. The strap is superb quality and goes perfectly with my SBS Diver. I highly recommend it.

Fabulous strap

I have several CWC straps to go with my CWC ‘87 SBS black diver re-issue which are all great however, this Falklands era green strap is the perfect partner for this watch. It’s got a great military look and feel to it and the buckle fitting looks fantastic - not shiny, and suitably vintage, rugged and understated. I paid a tiny amount extra for the ‘broad arrow’ stamp, which is simply the icing on the cake. The strap itself is very well made and robust without detracting from its tool-like appearance. In short, this is a must-have ‘tool’ strap for my ‘tool’ watch, which hasn’t been off my wrist since I took delivery. Perfection.

Royal Marines Falklands Era Strap, Green

I’m reluctant to leave a review, I don’t want others to know how good this strap is… I want to fit this strap to all my field watches. Currently the strap is on my 1982 Fatboy, looks great, easy to use, gets a perfect fit every time, even has that army surplus store smell (if that’s your thing)
