CWC DIVERS WATCH QUARTZ MATTE CASE TOP, SAPPHIRE GLASS, 120 CLICK BEZEL
This model is the uprated Royal Navy quartz diver with sapphire glass and 120-click bezel, but keeping the brushed matte top with polished sides as per the 90s issued watches and the same 300 metre specification used in all RN300 divers watches.
Best proportioned time piece I have ever worn, not too big, not too small, just perfect in my opinion for my 18-18,5 cm wrist. It is substantial enough but discreet. The thin bezel and monnin style case make the watch look refined but at the same time, the lugs shape makes the watch look definitely rugged. First time that I have experienced a watch design which combines the best of both worlds. Very good crystal and AR coating, the glass just disappears under any sort of lighting conditions. No non-sense bezel action, its tight, just right for a military time piece. The dial is very crisp in its execution. The lume is on par with my seiko turtle and its long lasting brightness. I have been attracted by the rich history behind CWC at first. After wearing the watch daily, I have been struck by its subtle classic qualities. It is definitely not leaving my wrist. Big thank you to the people at CWC for keeping this model and its heritage alive.
I own a few higher end automatic sports watches, but sometimes I want to fly a bit more under the radar, and this watch fantastically fits that bill. Decent presence on my 7" wrist, and very comfortable. I have also very much come to appreciate the convenience of the quartz movement, especially when I am running out the door last-minute, and don't want to fuss with winding and setting. So far, a couple months in, it seems to be a very reliable, eminently-functional, everyday knock-around watch I wouldn't have much concern doing anything in. Case finishing is nice, lume is decently bright, and the included gray strap really compliments the watch nicely (I had thought I would ditch it immediately for my usual black, but it looks so good I have abstained). Bezel rotates fine, although I do wish there was a bit better purchase on the outside of it; very chunky sound as it rotates too, so don't be expecting the smoothness of a 100-tooth ratchet or the like. Also, this is my only watch with fixed bars, so I don't know how I feel about that yet, but so far it hasn't been an issue--just feels a little weird knowing there might be a strap issue down the road--not a lot of great options outside of Nato's/etc. on that front. All things considered, a very nice addition to a small collection of watches that all get worn regularly!
I ordered this product from Japan.
This was my first time purchasing from overseas, so I was a bit worried, but I was reassured by the kind messages I received.
Before shipping, the product was delivered exactly to Japanese time, which was a great touch of hospitality.
The watch was super cool and better quality than I expected.
I love this manufacturer.
Thank you.
Awesome watch. Perfect size and look. Cant believe it took me this long to finally just pull the trigger and order it. Glad I did.
Love this watch. The quality and craftsmanship is stunning. It keeps perfect time down to the second. The NATO strap is superior. It gets many looks, and comments from other watch fans. I got it three weeks ago, and it’s been on my wrist every day. All of my other watches have been sitting. The shipping and contact with CWC was excellent. I’m planning on getting the Black issued SBS to add to this one. Also….the military history with this piece is awesome too. 👍🏻
