CWC G40 Quartz Watch

I was going to buy a Saphire G10, but saw the G40 and having a large wrist decided on the larger watch. I’ll probably not use it water resistant qualities, but it’s peace of mind when on holiday. I like plain, but well made watches, I chose the none date version for practicality.
Love the build quality and robustness.

I just received the watch now. It took me a while searching for a good quality military watch. I finally picked the G40 over a Hamilton ( the khaki Field price hike without extra product improvements is hard to swallow). First time seeing the G40 in real life. Absolutely beautiful. The watch feels very sturdy and durable yet much more elegant than the g-shocks that i’m used to. The watch is not too large in term of width and length yet a bit thick and the NATO strap makes it even thicker so I picked a thinner strap. I might try a leather strap in the future. Super happy with my purchase. The delivery was very fast. I’m a EU customer so i was a little bit anxious about the customs processing time and tariffs. It was actually fine. I paid 110€ extra (customs fee + regular 20%french VAT). Happy that I didn’t have to pay the British VAT on top of that. I highly recommend the G40.

Just received my new G40, my 3rd CWC, and what can I say!? Perfect in every way. Outstanding quality and unbelievably priced. Dial layout is sublime. Domed sapphire is spot on.
Lovely on the NATO supplied, but absolutely awesome on my CWC personalised Bond Stretchy. Great from CWC yet again.

Sooo…surely, this should be the next generation issued GS military watch (for the British military). Different dials obviously, but, to me, it’s a total shoe in, compared to what is on the table, currently. I hope it comes to pass. I am going to ask another question of this watch. Is this the best watch of its standard going? To me, the answer is, yes, by a country mile. The quality is outstanding. The back story is without parallel. I could say much more but I will stop there. Stunning watch. Thank you.

There's really nothing like this that exists in the watch world currently. CWC has really found a niche for extremely unique looking timepieces of superb quality that are high quality quartz. The dimensions are absolutely perfect. I'm used to the CWC RN Diver. I love the size of that, but wanted a field watch with lots of water resistance, a screw down crown, 40 mm, quartz with a long-lasting battery, and a quartz watch where the second hand actually hits the markers. It's as though CWC had access to my watch fantasy and dreamed this up. The g40 is rugged, quirky, distinct, elegant, extremely comfortable, and designed for many years of enjoyment. In the first 48 hours, I have worn this watch with a suit for work and casually. It's simplicity of design actually looks more distinct from a distance. I find that many watch companies cram as much design as possible into a small space. I love that CWC uses design restraint to create something that has a distinct personality while still being understated even when viewed at a distance. Could not be happier with this g40. Obviously, the customer service at CWC is next to none. I called to check on my order and reached someone who is incredibly pleasant and helpful and shipping was 48 hours from the UK to Colorado. I'll be back for the white dial G40!
