CWC Limited Edition Valjoux 7733
From the early 1970s to the mid 1980s, CWC supplied the military mechanical chronograph, issued to RAF (6BB) and Royal Navy (0552) pilots. The movement was the Valjoux 7733, which proved to be extremely reliable and durable given the harsh conditions they endured on the wrists of pilots flying aircraft such as the Vulcan, Tornado, Lightning, Harrier, Jaguar, Buccaneer, Hawk, Chinook and Sea King.
Over a four year period, we have re-commissioned these new old stock original 7733 movements methodically in Switzerland until ready for sale - 100 watches only, with original movements, dials, hands, and crowns. Each watch will be supplied with a Sapphire exhibition caseback to display the intricate workings of the vintage movement.
Also included is an original solid type caseback.
You will have the choice of original Tritium hands and dials from 1982 or brand new dials and hands with SuperLuminova.
Limited to 100 pieces due to the availability of the original 7733 Valjoux movements. The first batch of watches should be available later this year.
One of the first contracts Ray Mellor secured after setting up the Cabot Watch Company was the RAF 7733 chronograph.
Serial numbered 001 - 100 / 22 to coincide with 50 years since the company was founded to supply military timepieces to all branches of HM forces.
