In 1983, CWC produced the first quartz divers' watch for the Royal Navy and this reissue has been made to the same specifications, with SuperLuminova (as Tritium is no longer available). The T on the dial remains for historical correctness.
The quartz version was specified by the M.O.D. to include a polished case, sword minute hand, Tritium dial and luminous bezel. This continued throughout the 1980s. In the early 90s, the hands and bezel changed.
We take great pride in producing timepieces worn by British forces for fifty years.
Fantastic watch. Well worth getting and for what you get a good price to. Great to still have the T tritium marker on the front for historical accuracy. Well worth the investment.
Bought this watch over 4 years ago and still in great working order. I had my name, service number and branch badge engraved into the back. Great watch and fantastic customer service.
Amazing watch, full of vintage charm and a re-issue executed to perfection, there really isn’t anything else on the market like this watch, in terms of all the provenance, charm, fantastic finishing and build quality you get it’s worth every penny.
My first CWC, and it won't be my last. Stunning and practical, everything does exactly what it was designed to do perfectly. I did change the strap for the 20mm premium leather strap, just a personal choice.I have had so many admiring comments on the watch as well. Loveit.
Probably the nicest watch I have ever had (I have owned Rolex and Omega amongst others) this is the most legible watch I have ever had the aged lume and old style bezel really make the hands stand out and the 3,6,9 in white really stand out a lot more than the standard diver. I also own the g10 fat boy reissue which I love but this diver has not left my wrist since it arrived! ..is it worth the extra money over the standard one? Yes I believe it is, have a look at the two side by side and there is a clear winner!
