The GS Sapphire STAINLESS - next gen addition to the G10 range. Case dimensions are reminiscent of the original Fatboy but increased to 200 metres waterproof. Swiss-made precision and quality in a rugged durable military stainless steel case with screw down crown and screw case back. Ideal for all types of activities, including all water sports and diving. Available non-date or Navigator with date.
The GS Sapphire uses a CR2016 long-life lithium battery. These should last around 8 to 10 years.

I bought this watch in 2020 after seeing JOMW's review of the CWC Mellor.
The watch has no scratches, and the original battery is still working. I only take it off when I shower. I love sapphire glass and would gladly buy the W10 model if it had it.
The watch is very legible and unobtrusive. Comfortable and accurate. I have bought several other watches since then, but I always come back to this one. I like the retro design more and more with time.
The luminescence may not be as strong as in Seiko at first, but it really glows all night long, even if you don't specifically shine a light on it.
The G10 was my all time favorite watch, but it collected scratches and I beat up the dial to the point where it became illegible for me. I was bummed for a bit and tried going back to my garmin, casio, and even a Tudor. I didn't like the way any of those looked on my wrist, so I hit up the CWC store again. I saw that CWC sold what looked to be a sapphire version of the G10 and I was pretty hooked by the look of it. Same as the previous watch but probably more resilient to the work I do in EMS and military.
I love it. It's a tad thicker than the G10 but that's pretty negligible for me. The screw-down crown is a nice addition as well. I like the look and feel of it more than I did the push-pull crown on its predecessor. The sapphire crystal also just looks phenomenal in person. I think it does the dial more justice than the original acrylic crystal.
I do miss the battery compartment that would allow me to handle the swap by myself, but I think the 200m water resistance is probably worth the short period of maintenance every 8-10 years lol.
Fantastic service from the Cabot Watch Company. My new watch arrived promptly and was set to the precise time and date. It's a great everyday watch, has an excellent build quality and is easy to read the time in various light conditions (the Super Luminova dial markings glow for hours).

It’s a tank. It’s reliable. Lume is great. 200m so you never need to worry about water in your day to day activities. Size is perfect for everyday use. Fixed lugs. Sapphire. Tell me what else you require?
If you need more than this you aren’t after this daily work horse. I don’t think I’ll be buying another watch for many years to come.
