The GS Sapphire is built to be extremely durable with a 200m waterproof rating, a Sapphire glass and tough PVD coating, ideal for shooting the latest Jurassic World movie in the jungles of Thailand, where it was mostly filmed The watch is worn in the movie by Scarlett Johansson one of the lead characters.
The GS Sapphire uses a CR2016 long-life lithium battery. These should have 8 to 10 year battery life.

I stupidly gave up my CWC G10, when I left the RAF in 1990. A couple of years ago I discovered that I could get myself a replacement which I love.
However the lack of waterproof and the original hesalite Crystal easily scratches meant that it wasn’t ideal as a daily beater.
My New black PVD GS solves all of the problems, looks fantastic if slightly understated and is brilliant as an everyday watch.
I bought this watch to celebrate directing my first film and I love it. I wanted something with history, rugged, sturdy, waterproof and understated. It’s the perfect watch. I love the NATO strap too. It’s the kind of watch that a connoisseur will notice and appreciate. I love it. Perfect first watch.
This watch looks so cool
To me CWC represents a company with an interesting past and legacy. As an old US Marine, that history meant something to me. I ended up purchasing 5 CWC watches. The black face GS Sapphire was the latest. Like the others its simplicity, obvious durability, and overall performance is superb and is very consistent with their reputation with the British military. Small and compact and probably able to withstand an apocalypse if necessary. If you really want accuracy, reliability, without the bling in a watch, the CWC GS Sapphire as well as the G40 are your picks. Now I know why so many prefer CWC watches. I really hope your company thrives and continues to produce these wonderful timepieces. This Yank tips his hat to Mal, Rachel, and the whole team for a great watch and excellent service.
