CWC G40 Subhunter Quartz Watch

I’ve a number of CWC’s as their history and link to the SBS rings loud with me given my grandfather’s attachment to no 3 commando way back when. So yes I maybe biased. These are accurate, durable, robust, and have genuine military heritage. For me that’s a pretty compelling reason to have them. I bought the black dialled G40. Loved it, bought the sonar one, loved it, then it felt wrong not to have the Subhunter. I have others, but when you have 200m WR, great lume, brilliant accuracy, AND military heritage, what’s not love. The titanium one is next, but I can’t say with any certainty it’ll be the last.

Yet another CWC offering. I am really impressed with CWC products. I wear them a lot including this new Subhunter. The G40 watches are very well built and reliable. No second hand issues with hitting their marks, accuracy and precision are very good. It is comfortable to wear and easy to read. These performance characteristics are consistent throughout all the CWC models I have purchased including the G40's, Sapphires', and RN diver. Can't say enough about their products and value. I look forward to more purchases and many many years of great service from my G40 Subhunter and the others I have obtained in the last couple of months. I hope CWC is around a long time which it likely will be considering the quality of their products. Let me add that their service is top notch as well. Delivery to the states in less than 4 days still impresses me. Great group of people at CWC. Thank you

TBH I thought the G40 was going to be a comparable size to the G10 or W10 General Service Watch. I guess the clue is in the title / name of the watch - G "40" - as it wears on the wrist like a 40mm diameter watch. Lovely curved crystal over an off white dial. I love the way the domed crystal plays with the light and numerals as you look at the watch from different views. A sandblasted style / type of finish to the case which contributes to the understated look. A nod to CWC's military association / heritage comes from the subtle MOD arrow head on the dial. This is a field watch that could become a Mess / Dress watch in disguise if you upgrade from the "honest and practical" service NATO strap. There's nothing wrong with the strap btw but you literally have limitless options with this watch. I'm very happy with it and it fits in well with my humble little collection of wearable timepieces, WELL DONE CWC on this great, affordable and practical watch. Big fan. This is my 4th CWC and it won't be my last based on this purchase.

日本国内のみてくれミリタリーとは造り込みが違います
ストラップ固定のピンは極太で非常に堅牢だと思います
おそらく本体も肉厚で内部のムーブメントをしっかり保護してくれることでしょう

A fantastic fresh take on a CWC military. The dial is out standing! Love the screw down crown and case back plus the long life battery. Has the usual look and feel of a quality sturdy work watch. Well done
