CWC RN Quartz Divers Watch Mk.2 Day/Date, Matte Top (RN300-MT QS120-DD)

Well good people of the world, I found it! The only highly accurate quartz diver with day and date in the perfect size consideration to fit a smaller wrist (6.5”).
The entire team was very friendly and helpful. I now own the only day and date high accuracy(gains less than a second a week) quartz diver with a rotating bezel. The hands used on this watch are also perfect. Instead of the crazy Japanese look on Seiko's and their more expensive Grand Seiko models, you get classic easy to read hands with just the quickest glance. The dial is uncluttered and perfectly laid out. The case and finishing are what you’d expect at twice the price. The crown guards are substantial and yet the crown is easy to access and operate. Since most of us are tired of wearing monsters on out wrists, CWC gives men with small wrists everything they’ve dreamed of…plus! It’s impossible to find an accurate quartz diver in a well designed cas with no sharp angles or edges. I chose a brown oiled NATO giving me a diver and a field watch. Since there are no weak spring bars, I chose the single pass through on the strap. This makes the case feel thinner and eliminates that NATO from crawling up the back side of your wrist. I can’t stress enough how comfortable, smooth, and retro this watch case is. How pleased I am to find a day and date model that fits a small to any larger size wrist. Give the single pass through NATO a try. You’ll be glad you did. This watch and the service people behind it rate a 10 out of 10

I did swap the nato to a deployable clasp which pairs nicely but the strap it came with is comfortable and ties the whole package together nicely.

I've been a watch enthusiast for 10 years and have lusted after the quartz RN Mk2 steel brushed and polished version for a couple of years. The watch looks far better on the wrist than any pictures or videos I have seen. The design, robustness, visibility, comfort and utility are top notch making it the best every day watch I could imagine owning. To my knowledge the RN Mk 2 is still being issued to specialist RN units and this is supported by the official issue numbers on the back of the watch.

The fit and finish is not a problem when on the wrist, but upon closer inspection would say I have Timex watches at £200 to £300 that have sharper edges and finer brushing. Some may find this hard to swallow from a watch costing £750.

I contacted CWC about a specific and apparently quite common issue with the finish of the watch and they were very responsive, honest and helpful. Apparently the solid bars are micro welded into the lugs and this can lead to a ring or partial ring being visible on one or more of the polished lugs. I was told this is not such a problem with the black PVD coated stealth version of the watch.

For me the bottom line is that this is the only watch that I would accept having this blemish on the case. In my view the MOD probably aren't interested in getting a perfectly finished case on watches that are issued to personal on active duties. The imperfections suggest that my watch really is the military grade version and not some tidied up homage for the general public and this just adds to the military heritage and authenticity of the CWC RN Mk2. Yes, it's a lot of money to spend on a quartz watch, but it's the best £750 I have ever spent on any watch.

Everyday it’s on the wrist. Makes me smile every time I look at it. Oh, and it tells time well.

Love my watch! Quality is excellent, keeps perfect time and the fact that I don’t have to worry about a battery change for years is perfect !! Delivery was outstanding as well ! Finally a watch that I can take on dives and not worry about without spending g a fortune ! My son Wants one , he’ll have to wait until his birthday !!
