Due to numerous requests for upgrades, this watch now comes with sapphire glass as standard.

In 1983, CWC produced the first quartz divers' watch for the Royal Navy and this reissue has been made to the same specifications, with SuperLuminova (as Tritium is no longer available). The T on the dial remains for historical correctness.

The quartz version was specified by the M.O.D. to include a polished case, sword minute hand, Tritium dial and luminous bezel. This continued throughout the 1980s. In the early '90s, the hands and bezel changed.

Fantastic watch

This is my third CWC quartz diver — after the SBS and the RN, here comes the 1983. What a stunning watch! It just radiates quality. These days, my automatics hardly ever see the light of day. The workmanship is outstanding, the lume is spot on and lasts all night. Forget the knockoffs and go for the real deal: CWC.

Wears well on the wrist!

New military watch

I recently had to replace a much loved older military watch which sadly had failed and was beyond repair. I was recommended to look at CWC by someone currently serving in the military. They have an issued watch.
