Probably the most accurate and faithfully reproduced 1970's British Military W10 available. If there was a contract today for this watch we would have no hesitation submitting this to MOD for tender.
The original had a solid one piece case with a split crown stem so that access was through the front, Today we produce this watch with a two piece case so the case back is removed making it much easier to service.
A fitting tribute to the first watch Mr. Ray Mellor made for the M.O.D.
1970s reissue mechanical hand-wound watch which was originally issued to
British Army W10, Royal Navy 0552 & RAF 6BB.
Classic military tonneau case design. Luminous hands and markers, acrylic glass. Clear to read, functional and reliable. A classic military timepiece that will provide years of service. Mechanical Swiss movement. Swiss parts, Swiss-made.

CWC Mellor-72 Mechanical Watch. I Purchased this watch from you about 2 years ago. This is a hand wind watch. I have had many hand wound watches over the years. This is my favorite watch of all. It is super accurate and I wear it every day. I have watches that are thousands of dollars this watch out preforms them all. You will not go wrong with this watch. Thanks for your time. Michael
On receiving the watch I was taken by the timeless nature of the dial. The size is perfect and easily readable. One issue is the size of the crown. For an every day watch that is a problem but as an occasional watch, in this case, it is fine. The new leather strap is breaking in nicely. A good combination. Thanks CWC.
Overall the comfortable watch I have ever worn. Keeps good time. My only complaint is that the luminescent hands do not glow for very long. Less than an hour after it gets dark they are essentially unreadable, but otherwise it was everything I had expected it to be.
To begin with, it was the story of this model that attracted me. Once received, I discovered its charm, the quality of its dial, its movement which is very precise (0-+1s/day) beyond my expectations. Very happy to own this model that we rarely come across unlike its twin sister. Regarding the company CWC nothing to say order received quickly, quick response in case of questions. Very good experience for me during this purchase.
I was born in 72 to parents who were in the armed services and as someone who's into heritage timepieces, I couldn't have made a more meaningful purchase.
The only thing I do differently is wear it on a melange perlon strap.
