In 1980, the M.O.D. released a tender specification for the first quartz watch issued to all branches of the British forces. While the 70s tonneau shape case was specified, the early Swiss quartz movements couldn't fit this case and so the G10 "Fat Boy" was born.
Now, modern Swiss movements and manufacturing bring you the "Lost Boy", the watch that should have been made but never was... until now!
The Defence Standard for the "Watch, Wrist, Electronic, General Service" was dated the 29th of February 1980, a leap year day. Forty years to the day, it is making its debut. The T20 designation refers to the Tonneau case released 2020.
Engraving is available for this watch, however we cannot accept returns of any items that have been personalised.
Light on the wrist and looks the part. Great quality and super fast next day delivery.
I wanted to buy a Dirty Dozen watch, but it was so old and expensive that I hesitated. However, I really wanted to try a British military watch with a Broad Arrow. I really liked the CWC W10, so I bought it. I highly recommend it. I really like it.
Initially very quick delivery. The watch arrived and I wasn't disappointed. The T20 is a great looking watch, with a stamped NATO strap, easy to read dial and the all important MOD arrow. This is the 34th watch in my collection and one of my favourites, by a respected watch maker. Thanks.
This watch is beautiful. The experience was great: fast shipping and seeing the time set to my area was a very nice touch. Thank you guys.
Really great little watch. Firstly, the shipment was really fast and arrived earlier than expected. In total it took 3 business days to arrive at my door in Cape Town, South Africa. Secondly, it’s a great watch and if you are considering, you really can’t go wrong. If I had to nitpick, the strap is quite long and I’d have preferred something a bit shorter - but I do generally wear my NATOs as a single pass so if you wear them the conventional way, it won’t matter to you. Good design and build quality. I hope it will last many a year on my wrist.
