1980 RN Divers Automatic Watch

Item code: 73119

THE BEGINNING

The watch that succeeded the Rolex Military Submariner.

Developed in 1980 to meet a Ministry of Defence requirement for the Royal Navy, the CWC RN Diver marked the beginning of a new generation of British military dive watches. It became the first CWC diver issued to Royal Navy Clearance Divers, replacing the Rolex Military Submariner in front-line service.

The original 1980 RN Diver remains one of the rarest military-issued dive watches ever produced. Issued in very small numbers and powered by a self-winding mechanical movement, surviving originals are exceptionally scarce, making them rarer today than the Rolex Military Submariner they replaced.

This limited edition of just 600 watches faithfully recreates that historic military issue. Built using Top Grade ETA 2824-2 Swiss automatic movements, it preserves the original case, proportions and character while incorporating sapphire crystal and modern Super-LumiNova for everyday reliability.

This is not an homage.

It is the faithful reissue of one of Britain's most historically significant military dive watches.
