Originally developed to meet a Ministry of Defence requirement for the British Armed Forces.
Developed as the date-equipped evolution of the standard G10, the Navigator was engineered for military roles where accurate date reference formed an essential part of everyday duties.
The date display wasn't added for convenience.
It was added for a purpose.
Whether consulting tide tables, referencing astronomical publications for sunrise, sunset and twilight times, or drafting signals, reports and operational orders, military personnel relied upon date information as part of their daily responsibilities.
The Navigator provided that capability while retaining the simplicity, legibility and reliability that defined the original G10.
While materials, manufacturing and technology have evolved, its purpose has not.
The current Navigator remains faithful to the original military specification, combining proven design with modern Swiss manufacturing, and contemporary luminous materials.

This is my second G10 Navigator. I stupidly sold the first but realised my mistake later. Several dive watches and one vintage G10 later I'm back, and for a good reason... gorgeous construction, great lume, date feature, light and comfy on wrist. Rachel and the team are great as always and posted this out the same day, as well as arranging a different strap to the one advertised. This watch is wonderful and I won't be flipping it this time. Buy it, and enjoy the lovely acrylic glass distortion, the vintage size... it's just a great daily watch. End of

What a lovely timepiece. I'm wearing it on a Rios clip on leather strap with push button deployment clasp. The watch arrived in California from GB in 3 business days, with the correct west coast US time and date set with atomic accuracy! Amazing customer service and attention to detail!! Will definitely consider one of the divers next, hoping for more of the ETA F06.412/402 movements to make their way into their divers models.
