Built specifically for the elite units of the British Forces, the Royal Marines and Special Boat Service, currently also issued to Royal Navy and other specialist roles.
Water resistant to 300 metres / 1000ft and made for the toughest conditions. Real history and true provenance associated with this watch which has been issued now for 30+ years. The original MOD specification dates back to 1987, signed by the Officer Commanding Royal Marines for CWC to produce this watch, and it has been issued since then.

This is my second CWC watch, and once again, it exceeds expectations. The fit and finish are outstanding. Precise, rugged, and purpose-built just as you'd expect from a timepiece with such elite military heritage. The dimensions strike the perfect balance between presence and wearability, making it ideal for daily use or more demanding environments.
It’s a true tool watch with real pedigree, still issued to specialist British forces like the Royal Marines and SBS, and you can feel that lineage in every detail. From the solid construction and Swiss movement to the clean, no-nonsense design. Shipping to the U.S. was surprisingly quick, and customer service was excellent. I’m proud to own this watch and already looking forward to my next CWC purchase. This is a piece of history you can wear.
This is my second SBS Diver. The first was from the 1999 release. The tritium lume is reaching the natural end of its lifespan, so I decided it was time for a replacement. (No relume for the original. It's been... places, and has earned an honorable retirement.) This one is on my wrist during my duties as a full time paramedic, and does NOT disappoint. Accurate, rugged, great looks, and outstanding luminosity. I have a largish collection of combat swimmer affiliated watches, and the CWC is by far my favorite. If you're only going to own one military type watch, it should be this one.
